Cedar Grove is an incredible town with many features that make it a wonderful place to raise our families.  To enhance our community, our ask is that our Town Council create an indoor space, such as a recreation center, that will be available to our recreation sports programs.  As many are aware, we currently rely on space being made available in our schools and we struggle to accommodate all of the needs.  We have cheerleading, wresting, basketball, indoor hockey and volleyball programs that all need to be accommodated, many if not all during the winter months.  With only four indoor spaces among our four schools, it is very challenging to care for all of these programs.  A recreation center in our town would create additional space that can be used for these programs, as well as be a staple for community events that bring us all together for events.  With all of our neighboring towns already having dedicated recreation space, Cedar Grove is on a very short list of towns without one.  Not only would this be an asset for current residents, it will also increase the value our town brings to those who are looking to move into a town with all of amenities that are valued by families.
