Lake City High School is lying about how many covid cases the school has try to stay open and stop budget cuts. In an attempt to keep this information under raps, the district is forcing kids who post about this problem to delete any information they have shared with their online peers. This is a gross overstep of protocol (especially when they regularly threaten students who they perceive to be breaking protocol with forced two week isolations in a lame attempt to save face) that is threatening this communities safety. It is ignorant and childish to let politics get in the way of the general well being of this community, especially when CDA currently has one of the highest rates of transmission per capita in the country.  This petition’s aim is to get the school district to go back into “zone red” as described by Panhandle Health to try and stop community spread.
