The Issue

We, the undersigned parents and guardians of student-athletes on the Charlotte Christian School Varsity Men’s Lacrosse team, support the team’s planned 2026 winterim break trip to Naples, Florida from Sunday March 8, 2026 to Friday March 13, 2026. We understand this trip is intended to provide spiritual growth, service opportunities, competitive opportunities, skill development, team-building experiences, and alignment with our school’s mission to equip and develop our students to effectively integrate Biblical truth and learning into their daily lives and to impact the culture for Christ.  Although the original application in May of 2025 met all stated proposal requirements, we are providing this petition in response to numerous changes/obstacles to the requirements that have continued to arise from the administration to prevent this trip from being approved.  We feel this trip is paramount to the success of the Spring season to ensure a gap of almost 3 weeks, including the NCISAA required "dead period", is not forced among the team prior to the start of their conference schedule.

By signing this petition, we acknowledge and commit to the following:

- Our young man will participate in the trip only after completing all required CCS Winterim forms.- We understand the trip will be led by Coach Bobby Werhane and other school employees, albeit some part-time, however each have our full confidence to supervise our young man and provide the leadership, both spiritually and on the field, that best aligns with the CCS school mission.
- We will ensure our young man complies with the school’s code of conduct, travel guidelines, and expectations for behavior, discipline, and academics during the trip.
- We understand the trip will involve costs for transportation, lodging, meals, entry fees, and equipment, and we will agree to pay the expenses as needed (expected cost of $2200 per player).
