Premier institutes like IITs, IIITH rejected this formula on the basis that it was not the right way to judge a student. However it was still imposed on the NITs and other universities. The case was filed in multiple high courts and we had our Supreme Court hearing on Thursday, 11 July. However the double bench noted that since the case is already there in the High Courts, they would not give any interim relief until one of the courts comes to a final decision.
