Sushant Singh Rajput, a brilliant actor who stole everyone's heart in real as well as reel life. He was not just an ordinary actor but a far very wise man with regard to his age. He was a down to earth person who believed that kindness will make a change in this world.

He had ranked AIR 7 in the DCE Entrance Exam in 2003 and secured admission in the Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering class in Delhi College of Engineering. In all, he cleared 11 engineering entrance exams. He was also a National Olympiad Winner in Physics and a big astronomy buff, even recognised by International Space University, France.

On 14 June 2020, Rajput, aged 34, was found dead, hanging from the ceiling fan in his home in Bandra, Mumbai. No suicide note was found. He had 'reportedly' been suffering from depression, and according to Mumbai Police, medical papers and anti-depressant pills were found in his house.

But everyone who knew Sushant couldn't believe how someone like him would have taken such a drastic step and strongly felt that something is left unrevealed. With rising nepotism and evident dominance in Bollywood, it's highly plausible that he was killed by the theorised Bollywood Mafia or The Underworld or led him to committing suicide.

It isn't unknown that, though Sushant rose from theatres, background dancing in award shows, TV soap shows, dance shows to films and became an established actor, he was never welcomed nor accepted totally by the industry. Do you want this to be another "outsider"s journey too? Can we not be the least empathetic to understand how hard it would have been to go through all that pain till a point he felt giving up his life was better?? Think about his family and closed ones that still have no idea if they'll ever know why this happened.

On July 22, the Twitter hashtag #Candle4SSR trended with 1M tweets from Rajput's fans around the world, demanding a much needed honest CBI investigation. And that should HAPPEN!

It's a threat. To mankind. It shows Inhumanity. And the degree of Recklessness. If we are not aware and if we do not condemn it, this can happen anywhere and to anyone. Voice out your opinion in any matter possible and start it with signing this petition and sharing it to everyone you know.
If social media spamming is what it takes for those in power to feel responsible and act, that's what we should do. JUSTICE IS TO BE DELIVERED NO MATTER WHAT.
No innocent is to be harmed. This candle should be lit eternally and not just for 2-3 months because of the anguish.

JUSTICE is being DEMANDED because we undeniably DESERVE it.
