Technology giants such as Google, YouTube and Instagram manipulate human psychology to influence how we behave. These company’s use sinister algorithms to control what content people see. Social media is believed to be responsible for the increase in self harm and suicide. They twist people's perception of reality, fueling viral conspiracy theories, rampant misinformation and political polarization. 

We are calling on the government to insist that any technology giant operating in Ireland will sign a pledge to be transparent about what algorithms they use on their platform.
