On November 11th, 2020, a plan to bring Villa students to Cathedral Prep was announced. Thus, ruining the brotherhood and tradition that makes Prep, Prep. The plan is to make the Prep campus bigger and bring Villa Maria students to the new campus in the 2022 school year. This cannot happen. We believe the current campuses are fine how they are and are able to teach their respected demographic. If there is renovations to complete, that is alright, but making the school co-ed is something that breaks the specialty of Cathedral Prep and Villa Maria Academy. Many students have already voiced their opinion via social media once this was announced. It is clear that both schools feel they shouldn't be merged. This is clear that the administration, at Prep and Villa, do not care about the opinion of the students, and only care about their image in the Erie community. We plan to stop this before it happens in the 2022 school year. Help us raise awareness towards this cause and stop this catastrophe before demolition begins.
