Many students have come up to me for a listening ear due to their experience being dress coded. Many of these students are usually female. Young women feel dirty or mad that teachers are dress coding them for showing an inch of stomach. Most students feel it is unfair because, “how come boys can show their underwear, but I have to cover up my shoulder” and “Why is our administration looking at me like that when I’m trying to get to class”. I want to make sure these concerns are heard, seen and most importantly valued. Help us accomplish our goal to change the school policy by signing this petition.
