I am asking for support in requesting a change to the scheduled boats on the Catalina Express. The citizens of Avalon who depend on this company to transport us to the mainland have an extreme hardship with the current boat schedule. I would like to see 1 or 2 days a week with a boat scheduled that will allow for an early departure from the Avalon port and a later departure from the mainland (Long Beach) to accomadate citizens who need to travel for necessary doctors visits and shopping among other things. 

The current schedule allows for minimal time to accomplish activities. It may require an overnight stay or multiple day trips to take care of necessary business on the mainland. This creates a financial hardship for many.
