Carroll County NH Concerns!

The Issue

It seems our Carroll County leadership has had much turmoil since about 2018. For that reason, I'm going to keep this page active from time to time for e-mail updates and calls for action.

PAST CONCERNS:
Save our nursing home.
Put a trusted community member into the County Commissioner vacancy. This should be an open process with real community input and non-partisan support.  We have a trusted community member with the qualifications to help bring our nursing home out of the darkness.

Dr. Bill Marsh is qualified, he’s served as a county delegate, and Dr. Marsh knows health industry best practices and fiscal prudence.

We need Dr. Marsh to help us preserve the gem of our Carroll County assets. We need Dr. Marsh to help our elderly, our nurses, and our staff at Mountain View.

Our nursing home is in real trouble. Financial trouble.  It is in danger of financial collapse.  We cannot keep paying agency staffing for overtime.  We are on the verge of violations, we are working people too hard, they are understaffed and undertrained; and the Union approved raise of $2.50 is not to blame for this financial crisis and will not fix the crisis.  We have beds left empty due to lack of staffing, and elderly citizens who need to be there under the care of licensed medical professionals.

The current plan the delegation is working on, is to place Amanda Bevard, the ex-Commissioner with an agricultural and public school background into the role.  Bevard was competent during her tenure, but we need more than just competent, we need someone with the skillset and knowledge to solve the nursing home crisis. Bevard has some wonderful assets for our community, but when it comes to health care, Bevard denied medical care to inmates (see links below) and failed to listen to those with knowledge.

We need someone who has the knowledge of the healthcare industry and a proven track record of saving a community medical facility. We need someone like Dr. Marsh.

SAVE MOUNTAIN VIEW COMMUNITY NURSING HOME

Please reach out to the 15 member delegation and let them know we need to appoint a proven leader with real life experience and a track record for supporting Carroll County; knowledge of our health industry is imperative; and sign this petition if you are a registered voter in Carroll County, New Hampshire

Do we really want to spend our county resources getting caught up in litigation with the ACLU?

Please encourage our Representatives to make this process non-partisan, and  open to all Carroll County citizens for public input.... and even create a hiring committee to find the best person for the job.
