You were a major disappointment during the 2014-2015 Taiji dolphin slaughter season, and your silence was deafening the whole season. 

You are supposed to represent the USA to Japan.  You cannot be silent while the majority of caring people across the USA and around the world condemn this brutal slaughter of dolphins in Taiji.

As the US Ambassador to Japan, please denounce this alleged "tradition" and lend your voice to the cause.  This brutal capture and slaughter of dolphins and other small cetaceans is cruel and inhumane, and a tradition which has no place in the 21st century.  

The next season begins September 1, 2015.  Please convey this message to Prime Minister Abe Shinzo that the citizens of the United States and around the world condemn this barbaric practice, and that Japan needs to stop the mass slaughter and capture of dolphins and whales immediately.
