Inflation is near zero, yet small homeowners in New York City property tax goes up at around 6% or more while our incomes do not go up at 6%

Many are being taxed and spent out of their homes.

While the mayor collects a $200K salary and $5K a month on each of his homes.  All the while not paying income tax on the rental income.  This all done legally, thanks to the perverse laws.

The small one family homes with one person that works and the one that takes care of the children.   The tax has gone up 100% in 15 years and the income has not matched that.

Are we trying to destroy the small homeowner?

See https://youtu.be/UQGo5FrKllU for a solution.  Lower the assessment ratio to .1%  for class 1 property.  This would force park slope to pay their fair share or it would force spending to come down.
