Caribbean History Deserves a Home on the National Mall

Caribbean History Deserves a Home on the National Mall
The Issue
Build the National Caribbean Cultural Heritage Museum on the National Mall
Caribbean people have given this country our brilliance, our labor, our rhythm, our flavor, our joy — yet we are still invisible in the federal record.
We are not counted on the Census.
We are not listed on racial demographic forms.
We have no national museum on the Mall.
No place where our children can walk in and see themselves reflected with dignity.
America dances to our music.
Eats our food.
Celebrates our Carnival.
Builds industries on our creativity.
But when it comes to identity and recognition?
We disappear.
Our ancestors crossed oceans with nothing but faith.
Our parents rebuilt their lives from scratch.
We carved out space in a country that never carved out space for us.
And still, our story has no home.
The Caribbean Culture Heritage Foundation is stepping forward to change that.
We are fighting to build the National Caribbean Cultural Heritage Museum, the first federal institution to honor all 35 Caribbean nations and territories.
This is not just a museum.
This is our name.
Our place.
Our right to be seen.
And the window to make this happen is open right now, but it will not stay open forever.

WHY YOUR SIGNATURE MATTERS
Your signature is not just support.
It is a declaration of identity.
It says:
“My people will not be erased.”
“My culture deserves protection.”
“My history deserves a home.”
If we do not show up in numbers, this moment will pass us by.
If we do not speak now, our children will inherit the same invisibility we grew up with.
Your signature is pressure.
Your signature is visibility.
Your signature is power.
Every name added tells Congress:
We are done being invisible.
We are done being uncounted.
We are done waiting.”
---
CALL TO ACTION
Sign this petition to support the creation of the National Caribbean Cultural Heritage Museum, a permanent home for our ancestors, our nations, and our legacy.
This is the first time in U.S. history that all 35 Caribbean nations have a chance to be recognized.
If we don’t claim this moment, it will be lost.
Add your name.
Stand with the diaspora.
Help build the museum our community deserves, before history moves on without us.
