The Cape Coral High School class of 2020 has worked very hard to see their graduation day.  Due to coronavirus, many memorable senior events have already been cancelled.  Unfortunately, these are memories we will never get to have.  The last hope we had for a normal high school ending was our senior graduation, but now this may not happen either.  Although safety from COVID-19 is our #1 concern, we believe that we can practice safe precautions while still celebrating the end of our high school journeys.  High school graduation is an important milestone and everyone that has worked for this deserves to participate.  Currently the only guarantee of a graduation that we have is a virtual graduation, which in no way is the same as a a traditional graduation.  Please sign this petition to make a change.  Although we realize that coronavirus is currently a danger, there is no reason a traditional graduation cannot be postponed until it is safe to return to normal activities.  Please rally your support for a delayed traditional graduation ceremony, a socially-distanced graduation block parade around the school, or any other in-person graduation event that is to be determined.  Everyone's support is needed and welcomed!  Please share to make a change!
