Petition updateSupport modern "green" recreational activities in our National Parks and SeashoresA critical juncture

We have reached a critical juncture in meeting with Cape Cod National Seashore management, and it would appear that the new Superintendent (who was slated to begin this month) has already been hard at work. I had planned on giving it a couple of weeks before reaching out to him as I can only imagine how overwhelming it must be starting at a new position, but I see that he has already issued the new compendium for 2018 that maintains the kitesurfing restrictions of his predecessor. It is with great trepidation that I will be contacting him, hoping for a meeting and a dialogue with the new park management. We are at a critical juncture right now as all future dialogues will reveal if draconian kitesurfing restrictions are a National Park Service predilection and not just that of the former Superintendent. So it is just as important as ever to keep getting the word out for friends, family, and supporters to sign the petition and watch for my updates should other avenues become available for the public to voice their support for wind-propelled surfing in US National Parks. Sports and activities that rejuvenate the mind and body without physical or carbon footprints should be the wave of the future (sorry for the bad pun!) for our National Seashores. It's important that we make our feelings known in order to protect and promote compatible forms of conservation and recreation.
