Add Usurper's Storm to Monster Hunter World as Zinogre's greatsword

Add Usurper's Storm to Monster Hunter World as Zinogre's greatsword
The Issue
With the release of the Iceborne DLC for Monster Hunter World,, the already-impressive game got a large amount of additions into the game, especially with what many people wanted to be added: the addition of some more of the large monsters from the previous entries, ESPECIALLY the iconic ones. Obviously ones beyond the Rathalos, Diablos and Deviljho. Among the new monsters and new variants, the returning large monsters included some I didn't expect them to add and got both me and a lot of other fans excited for this DLC: Glavenus, Nargacuga, Glavenus, and even the two immensely popular fan favorites Brachydios and the iconic Zinogre.
Now, with these additions, I got VERY excited. 'Finally, maybe now have a greatsword that's not just the generic weapons but with a different hilt.' And for the most, part the returning monsters' weapons pretty much are with SOME exceptions. Brachydios has almost all of his returning, although his Longsword, Dios Katana (and its upgraded version Demolition Blade), is replaced with Brachydios Scimitar, which is basically just the Anja Scimitar (Anjanath) and the Magda Facultas (Zorah Magdaros) but with a blue hilt. Most of Nargacugas returns, with the exception of the Greatsword. At first glance (and by its name), I first mistook it for the greatsword Hidden Blade from previous entries. But no, it is not. It's actually just Ravager Blade with a different hilt, but GRANTED they actually put some additional effort into it having SOME design cues from the original Hidden Blade, by having feathers decoration the blade, as opposed to the original which saw the blade LOOKING LIKE the feathers were the blade. While I prefer the original, this one doesn't bother me too much, as they at least made Ravager Blade work for Hidden Blade's design. It kind of works here, but it is a bit insulting that its also called Hidden Blade, despite not being the same weapon. Thankfully, this is the only changed weapon of the returning monsters that did this (to my knowledge, anyway).
Most of the Tigrex's weapon returns, even the Tigrex Greatsword, but I've had a huge dislike of his weapons, especially the Tigrex Great Sword that it doesn't concern me any, but its worth noting. The Glavenus however, got the brunt of the changes. Thankfully, they didn't lie by the weapons name, but nearly all of his weapons are the generic weapons but with a different hilt. But unlike the next monster, at least with the Greatsword, for example, it at least has SOME resemblence in the hilt and guard to look like Scorchign Blazer. Its replacement is called Glavenus Blaze. Which, again, is Ravager Blade again. The Glavenus Longsword is disappointing. From the amazingly designed Billowing Luger with the dark-colored flames motif, is now...Glavenus Spada. Glavenus Spada is basically the Rafiq al-Nasr longsword (Kulu-Ya-Ku), which is the new upgrade for the Kulu-Ya-Ku longsword.
Enough about the others, this is the one that bugged me the most. The Zinogre. I love the Zinogre and I love his weapons even MORE. But I'll jump right to my point. ALL but one of his weapons return. All but one. And that is his Greatsword, Usurper's Storm. In fact, his Greatswords has FIVE total designs:
The iconic Usurper's Storm in Gen/GenUltimate, the redesigned Usurper's Storm in 4U, the Nether Great Sword / Nether Lufractus in 3U, the Brimstrem Drakepride in 3U (returning in Gen/GenUltimate as Thunderlord Gekirai, albeit recolored of course), and the redesigned Brimstrem Drakepride in 4U. You'd expect ONE of these designs to be used for the Zinogre's Greatsword, right? Apparently not. His Greatsword added in Iceborne is.....Severing Bolt. First, that name itself is bad news. Severing Bolt, what a bland-sounding name. It might sound good for a Final Fantasy spell name, but not a weapon made from one of the most badass monsters in Monster Hunter history, but I digress. Well, this weapon is made as the Master Rank upgrade of Lightning Punisher IV, which is (prior to the release of Iceborne) the final upgrade of the Tobi-Kadachi "Greatsword". I say Greatsword loosely, because its neither great, nor a sword. It was nothing more than the Thunder Blade (which itself was lazy and just was your starting iron Greatsword but colored yellow) but the blade is replaced with the axe head you'd see on a medieval halberd. You'd think they'd put effort into it like they did with "HIdden Blade", but...no. It's nothing more than Lightning Punisher with a different hilt. In my honest opinion, the hilt doesn't resemble Zinogre in the slightest. The Zinogre's weapons were known for having vibrant yellow and vibrant cyan/teal colorations. This...looks like a mix between the standard blue Lagiacrus and the Tobi-Kadachi. I see no design cues from the Zinogre WHATSOEVER. If you're going to redesign the Greatsword one, then fine. But don't just take the Tobi-Kadachi weapon and slap a different hilt on it that isn't even related to Zinogre and call it a Zinogre Greatsword. The Zinogre Greatsword should at LEAST resemble a sword, not an AXE.
Regardless, this petition is for Capcom to do one of these few things as a solution to the problem:
The safest solution : Add the Usurper's Storm from Generations Ultimate (or any of his Greatswords from past entries) as a completely new weapon path, so it doesn't interfere with the one they added in already. It's obvious that the Severing Bolt looks as it does BECAUSE it's part of the Tobi-Kadachi path.
The easier solution : Add one last upgrade. Have Usurper's Storm as the final upgrade for the Severing Bolt. Since Severing Bolt II's rarity is 11 and the final upgrade of the new Iceborne weapons don't go higher than 12, it is technically viable this could be possible.
Or the easiest solution : Replace the Severing Bolt I and the Severing Bolt II with the Usurper's Storm and its respective upgrades.
It is insulting to have all of Zinogre's weapons BUT the Greatsword. For me personally, I loved straight, double-edged greatswords and World technically still has yet to have one. This one could have been the opportunity to have one.
If the Ancient Shards had returned in World and included Epitaph Blade, I wouldn't concern myself too much with this and judge it as a flaw and criticism. But its even more severe of a problem because even the Ancient Shard weapons aren't just not in the game, there is only one, Enduring Schisms you can upgrade a standard Dual Blade into an Ancient Shard weapon, but only for the Dual Blades. The Greatsword instead just gets the Xeno'jiiva greatsword which is just your starting iron one but with a different hilt.
With as long as people, myself included, have waited for these monsters to return, let alone get new weapons and this is what we get, people are annoyed by this and understandably so. Had I not just simply waited for the weapons to be added to wikis online about the monsters' weapons and instead worked myself to the Zinogre, fought him constantly and farmed for these weapons to be met with an axe for a GREATSWORD. I'd have felt cheated.
There was a reason why Monster Hunter is popular. It's not just about fighting monsters to get a new weapon. No, more than that. It's about working for these new weapons amidst all the frustration. You felt accomplished seeing these cool-looking new weapons you can make. How would someone feel accomplished farming for hours on end, days even, for something that looks exactly like the millions of other weapons you already have but with a different handle? Something forged from Zinogre should look impressive, not something lazily made. In fact, if someone shows up to help you with these new weapons. At first glance, you aren't going to recognize it as something new, cool, impressive, or even as a weapon from a particular monster. It'll just boil down to "Really? You're using the weak weapon from early game?", unaware that it's that same weapon but with a different hilt.
I waited so long for Zinogre to be added and the weapon I anticipated the most wasn't added and I'm beyond disappointed. It's not like its impossible to add Usurper's Storm, all of his other weapons are in there.
This is a petition to add the Usurper's Storm greatsword to Monster Hunter World, or at least replace Severing Bolt or create a new weapon path that has either Usurper's Storm or a PROPER Zinogre greatsword. No Ravager Blade, no Bone Blade, no Wyvern Jawblade, no Buster Blade. This isn't to insult or hate on what they did. It's a problem many others, as well as myself, want fixed. I'm sure the staff had their reasons why Usurper's Storm wasn't added as the Zinogre greatsword. I'd imagine time constraints was the issue, but we would be willing to wait longer for Usurper's Storm to be added and any new weapons from any further returning monsters to be not the generic weapons with a different hilt, and to do the same with Monster Hunter World 2, should that come to pass.
