The Issue

I'm frustrated. I know you are too. Every day, we see the same story: politicians in Washington living like kings while millions of Americans are struggling just to get by. How can Congress justify their $140,000+ salaries, claiming it’s not enough, when they expect teachers, nurses, and many others to scrape by on $40,000 or less a year? Their wealth continues to balloon into the tens or even hundreds of millions, but what about us? We face sky-high rents, outrageous housing costs, and wages that haven't budged in decades.

What's even more baffling is how they turn a blind eye to monopolies growing under their watch, violating the principles our country was founded on. While we're juggling skyrocketing expenses like gas and groceries, they allow corporations to exploit workers and dodge taxes. And let's not even get started on the data centers sucking up our resources for profit, leaving neighborhoods without basics like clean water or stable power.

This is why I'm demanding a cap on Congressional salaries until they actually address the economic inequality they seem so indifferent to. If they want to keep earning what they do, they need to prove they care about the American people’s financial realities. It's time they lived with the kind of budget pressures the rest of us face daily. Maybe then, we’d see real change.

We must make our voices heard. Our livelihoods and futures are at stake. It's time to push for fairness and responsibility. It’s time to hold our government accountable, ending the hypocrisy. Let's demand that Congress prioritize the people over their personal wealth. Join me in calling for immediate action—cap their salaries, make them earn our trust, and push for true economic equality.
