Clubs at Hillcrest High School, such as the drill team, have been putting each other at risk by not wearing masks and social distancing. If small groups of students and their coaches can’t handle, an entire school can’t. By giving an option to go to psychical school (and not by offering the same classes online), they subject students in need to COVID-19. This recklessness needs to be stopped and the school year needs to be pushed back!

Hillcrest High has a local infection rate of around 16%, the CDC recommends only an infection rate of 5% for schools to resume. The district choosing to go back in session is reckless and they need to change their decision. We will not see people’s lives be put needless risk!
