Personally, I've always held a deep admiration for Freddie Mercury and we know numerous others share this sentiment. Freddie was a transformative figure in the world of music, and his influence continues to resonate today. Although the traditional rules for canonization would require two miracles, we believe Freddie's music itself constitutes one such miracle. His music has inspired millions and brought joy to many. The unifying power of his performance at the Live Aid Concert in 1985, where he brought together an audience of over 1.5 billion people globally, stands as a second miraculous feat (BBC, 2015). This dynamic cohesion and universal appeal showcased in his performance can certainly be considered as transformational as any miracle. We urge the authorities to recognize the transcendental impact Freddie Mercury has had on our lives through his music and life, and to consider canonizing him for his miraculous contributions.
