As we wrap up the University of Iowa fall break majority of students are expected to commute back home either plane or car. In the Midwest, up to 6 inches of snow have accumulated because of the severe snow storm which has snowed for the past 12 hours. With planes that is up to airlines to decide whether they cancel, delay, or run flights. With commuting the plowing is very slow paced and the roads are slippery causing these travel conditions to be severely dangerous. We ask to sign this petition to cancel one day of class to allow students a safer commute back to the Iowa City campus in hopes this can help us cancel the rarely canceled classes at the University of Iowa. If you feel this is necessary for the safety of the students please sign this petition.
