I am a resident of Harlow, Essex, deeply concerned about the ongoing oppression faced by the Palestinian people. This issue is personal to me and many others in our community who believe in justice and equality for all. We are aware that Harlow and West Essex Pride are planning to host a Euro-vision Watch Party at The Phoenix Lounge Harvey Centre Harlow this Saturday 11th May. We urge them to cancel this event as an act of solidarity with Palestinians who are experiencing genocidal occupation.

The United Nations has reported numerous human rights violations against Palestinians, including forced displacement and violence (source: UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs). In light of these facts, it is crucial that we take a stand.

If Harlow and West Essex Pride refuse to cancel their event, we then call upon Phoenix Lounge to do so on their behalf. If they fail to comply, we will work towards boycotting the venue as a form of peaceful protest against their decision.

We firmly believe that freedom should be universal - "WE WILL ONLY BE FREE WHEN WE ARE ALL FREE!!". By cancelling this event, you can send out a powerful message about our community's commitment towards supporting oppressed populations worldwide.
