Why this petition matters

Started by Musa Khawula

The nominations for the 28th South African Music Awards were announced yesterday, the nominations showed nothing but biasness towards Amapiano Music.

Over the past year South Africans and the world danced to nothing but Amapiano Music. For the SAMAs board to exclude them largely is unrealistic and therefore calls for the awards that nobody cares for anyway to be canceled.

It absolutely doesn't make sense why Zakes Bantwini would be nominated 7 times and artists like Musa Keys totally excluded from these pathetic nominations.

Looking at some of the biggest awards like Album of The Year you realize that people on the SAMAs board are old and still stuck in the past and clearly have no idea what the hell they doing. Why would Brian Temba be nominated for Album of The Year? First of, which album? Who listened to it? Excluding some of the best Amapiano albums like Young Stunna's Notumato and Musa Keys' Tayo.

Nobody asked for these pathetic awards to come back but if ya'll insist on forcing then upon South Africans can you at least respect the audience????

Please sign and forward this petition if you share the same sentiments.
