Community Petition to Cancel the Sean Feucht Event in West Kelowna

We, the undersigned residents of West Kelowna, respectfully urge our city officials to reconsider the approval and hosting of the Sean Feucht concert scheduled to take place in our community. **This event is not simply a musical performance. It is a politically charged protest disguised as a concert, led by an individual who regularly spreads extremist rhetoric that threatens the safety, dignity, and inclusion of many members of our city.**

Why This Matters:

Sean Feucht is not just a musician. He is a well-documented political and religious activist who: -

  •  Spreads hate against the LGBTQ+ community, using words like "demonic" and "twisted," and has framed queer people as a spiritual threat
  • Describes supporters of reproductive rights as "slaughterers" and "demonic," fueling stigma and moral panic
  • Weaponizes religion, portraying faith and queerness as enemies, and dividing communities who might otherwise coexist peacefully
  • Promotes Christian nationalism, stating that "Christians should be ruling the nation and writing the laws" - a direct rejection of democratic, pluralistic values
  • Uses worship as a political tool to "take ground" in cities
  • Undermines public health by disregarding safety measures during the pandemic
  • Faces serious financial and ethical misconduct allegations, including misuse of donations and lack of transparencyThis Is Bigger Than One Concert

Allowing this event to proceed sends a dangerous message:

"that public spaces can be used to marginalize and vilify entire groups."

Would the city allow a concert that described religious people as radical or evil? Then why are we giving a platform to someone who describes queer people and their allies in these terms?

With multiple other Canadian cities revoking his permits, such as Halifax, Moncton, Charlottetown, and Quebec City ... What does it say about West Kelowna to choose to support the spread of hate?

What We Are Asking:

We call on the City of West Kelowna to reconsider this event and take a clear stand for:

  • Respectful, inclusive public spaces
  • Protection of marginalized communities
  • Democratic, pluralistic values

This is not about silencing faith. It is about preventing hate.
