I’m a student in CCPS, just like everyone else, trying to focus on school. But right now, going to school isn’t safe because of the thick smoke from the Everglades wildfires. The air is really bad, and it’s hard to breathe and pay attention in class. This isn’t just annoying, it can actually hurt our health. Bad air can cause breathing problems and make people with asthma feel worse. Because of this, our school district needs to take action. Other schools close when the air is unsafe, and ours should too. Closing schools for a short time would help keep students and teachers safe. School is important, but our health is more important. We are asking the school to cancel classes until the air gets better. Please help by signing this petition so we can stay safe.
