The Issue

As a social media influencer dedicated to uplifting the Black community, it is deeply personal to me to ensure that our women have positive role models who inspire and support growth without resorting to scams or ridicule. The Black community faces enough challenges without having influencers who mock serious issues such as battles with sickness, health, or living conditions. It is crucial that we stand against behavior that tears us apart, especially from those in positions of influence who should be uplifting our community.

One such influencer, Peach McIntyre, has repeatedly shown disrespect to the Black community specifically. Her actions include mocking those who have passed away and scamming her viewers—a serious allegation supported with a report on the Better Business Bureau website. This behavior is unacceptable and sets a damaging precedent for influencers and creators who have the power to shape public opinion and the communities they represent.

There is already a petition suggesting that Peach McIntyre should merely take accountability for her actions without facing any substantial consequence. However, I firmly believe that her continuation on platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and any other social media is unwarranted due to the harm she has caused. Allowing her to maintain these platforms only serves to endorse her actions, sending a message that disrespectful and dishonest behavior is tolerable.

The power of social media is profound, and it can either contribute to the positive advancement of a community or significantly impede it. By canceling Peach McIntyre from all major social media platforms, we can take a stand against disrespect and scams, while paving the way for genuine influencers who truly deserve to be heard and have a positive impact on their followers.

I urge everyone to sign this petition to make it clear that hate and exploitation have no place in our community. Let us come together to champion positive and supportive interactions within social media spaces, ensuring our voices are represented by those who understand and truly support us.
