The book "Haunting Adeline" is a dark-romance type book. It is a mature title, or smutt. It contains dark themes such as stalking. The book is authored by H.D Carlton. It is also a hit sensation over "BookTok"; A side of TikTok that discuses books in the romance genre. I feel this book should be canceled because the main character, Adeline, falls in love with her stalker, Zade Meadows. This book romanticizes stalking and other truly traumatizing topics as such. At one point, Zade Meadows even non-consensualy rapes Adeline. These things can be EXTREMELY traumatizing to real victims. When young people with easily sharpen minds view this as a romance book, they can be convinced that this is what love is. As someone who's sister greatly enjoys said book, even after I have discussed why it is wrong, I think the book should be banned or cancelled.
