Khurrum H. Siddiqi started this petition to THE HONOURABLE MARCO MENDICINO (MINISTER OF IMMIGRATION, REFUGEES AND CITIZENSHIP)

In Pakistan, Shia's in general and specifically the Hazara Shia community is under oppression for a long time. They are poor and weak from a socio-economic perspective. They are victims of sectarian violence, genocide, and ethnic cleansing by The Islamic State (IS), Daesh, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ), Sunni militant Muslim groups. In a recent incident on Monday, Jan 03, 2021, the Islamic State claimed responsibility for an attack that brutally killed 11 coal miners from Pakistan’s minority Shi’ite Hazaras in Baluchistan province. At each incident of high magnitude with this community,  the Government of Pakistan vows to bring justice to the culprits, but it never happened so far. Regular incidents of the genocide of the Hazara community proves the inability, failure, and/or unwillingness of the State to provide life and security to the oppressed. As a Canadian, I appeal to Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau to please listen to the cries of the Hazara Community of Pakistan.
You are a good-hearted and kind man. You can bring families of slain members of the Hazara Shia community to Canada as refugees. You can help to protect the lives, honor, and freedom of this oppressed community. You are the only hope for them at this difficult time.
