The CBC is a publicly funded broadcaster. This means that Canadian tax dollars are being used to keep them in business. Those tax dollars could and should be used to help Canadians. In 2019 they received 1.2 millions from the government. That money could be used and should be used to help the less fortunate, mental health issues, addiction, etc. Instead of always raising taxes the government need to use the money we as Canadians pay, to help us and not a Multi million dollar media enterprise. The current Government has it in his power to stop funding the CBC but as yet to address the subject. Without our pressure this government will not do the right thing and will ignore our requests. With enough signatures we are hoping to bring positive change to our country.
