The Avro Arrow, designed in the late 50's, was an all weather interceptor designed for Canada's geography. The plan was cancelled at the time for it's cost. Today, engineers can modernize these old designs with the cost still lower than that of the F-35 Lightning.This modern Arrow will be able to fly faster, farther, longer, and in all cold weather conditions than the F-35 Lightning. Also, the entire cost for the Arrow would be recycled into the Canadian economy.
