The lack of flood lights means FC Five Dock's junior teams are unable to train beyond 5pm. Moving junior teams to Timbrell Park is not an option due to lack of adequate playing fields or goals where teams can practice and familiarise themselves with the dimensions of the fields & goals they need to play on during the season.

Child safety is also compromised at Timbrell Park with junior teams (made up of 4 to 7 year olds) being spread out and having to find a spot amongst the older playing groups who train there. 

Over 220+ junior members across our winter competition and development academy are impacted by this inaction.

The Canada Bay Council's inaction means that for the second consecutive season lighting is not available at Nield Park and new member's commence their football journey at a disadvantage.

We ask the Council reinstate lightening so that training can take place - even if this is temporary lightening. Local residents and club members have all literally been left in the dark due to the lack of information from council.

FC Five Dock members & local residents should not be penalised due to poor council planning - Light Up Neild Park Immediately.
