Camper ordinance in Yadkin County

The Issue

There is currently an ordinance in Yadkin County (zoning chapter 111) that says you cannot live in a camper on private property.

I would like to see this ordinance changed.
I have lived in my camper on my own property for three years. I am hooked up to the septic and well that were here when I bought the property and have not had any issues.

If you don’t comply there is a $50 daily fine up to the given deadline (30 days but by the grace of God I’ve been given til July 8, 2026) then they will put a lien on your property. I know there are a lot of people currently living in campers  and I know a lot that have had to make other arrangements as I am now having to do.

Changing this ordinance will help a lot of people afford a place to live. Please consider signing this petition.
