A decision was made to chop down 2 significant trees as part of a group of 30 to make way for netball courts at the Max Amber sports field.  These trees are approx 80 years old and are multi-stemmed.  We ask that Council staff be asked to come up with alternate plans to avoid the unnecessary destruction of these significant trees.  Council were split on this decision, so there is clearly disquiet in the community as to this happening.  Residents are getting tired of the wanton destruction of trees in the Campbelltown Council area and we ask Council to do better.
