Students finishing secondary school in 2015 (this year) have to continue in full time education for another year.

This means we have to have an apprenticeship or do A Levels, BTECs or Diplomas. However, even though we legally have to be in school, the council are not offering free school transport. They offer a subsidised bus pass - Stagecoach currently provide the GoldRider service.

This cost £636 per year - that's more than £1,250 for the two years that an A Level lasts.

This petition is to ask Cambridgeshire County Council to provide 100% free transport to and from the Nearest Appropriate Post-16 center if the student lives more than 3 miles from it.

Nobody in this country should be having to pay to get to their "free" education, and by signing this petition you can make is easier for families to manage, without having to fork out this amount of money.
