Police have been harassing Donta Chestnut and his Businesses for 10+ years. He is the backbone to the wilson community. Donta do not have any criminal background history. He went to college and came back to Wilson NC to uplift the next generation to be leaders.. Donta Chestnut opened his mentoring program named OUR WILSON to create opportunities with: Sports, Traveling, Entertainment, Acting, Dancing, GED programs, job programs, homeless programs... just to make a difference in his community with all different races coming together.... He hosted several Open Mic Events to give artists the opportunity to showcase their talents in a way they can practice before they hit the big stage. He usually pray for everyone before they leave and remind them to stop the violence.. He hosted the Open Mics until the police threatened his Landlord saying they were going to take his building if they continue doing business with Donta.. They also Threatened plenty of Donta Chestnut business partners.. Donta called the police station to get help to make sure everyone was safe. So instead of helping Donta they plotted to shut his event down and shut his lights of to make him start his light bill process over again with his fire inspection, u dot forms, and another deposit to turn on the lights!! He just paid his light bill a week before they shut those off. These are just examples from a ongoing process of 10+ years... I also saw this with my own eyes the police said Donta looked like he got a warrant and pushed him and threw my brother Dominique head to the car so I know they been doing this to him for a fact! They trying to shutdown a place where we have peace and people like me go to record music. Sign this petition and help us fight back
