Dear fellow humans and citizens of the world,

I humbly appeal to your noble nature and kindness, asking for your help to petition and participate in promoting World Peace. As we all know and see on the news, war and conflict have produced immense pain, destruction, suffering, and loss of life throughout human history. We all see pictures of innocent children and women dying because of conflicts in which they have no roles. 

 

We have more pressing issues to deal with, such as hunger, disease and suffering, climate, soil and water pollution, drought, access to education, shelter and drinking water, flood, poverty, human rights, loss of species, diversity, economic disparity, and inequality to name a few. The good news is that we have the means to solve these challenges. We need more empathy, compassion, cooperation, collaboration, and understanding. It’s time for us to come together as one to create a better and more peaceful world.

 

I trust that each one of us can play an important role in advancing peace and higher consciousness for humanity. Whether it is through small acts of kindness or greater initiatives, we all have a responsibility as human beings to bring about peace.

 

As Saadi Shirazi wrote in his Gulistan “Human beings are like parts of a body, created from the same essence. When one part is hurt and in pain, the others cannot remain in peace and be quiet of sorrow, you cannot be called a human being”. We can make a difference. We have more power than we may think. As Rumi said, “You are not a drop in the ocean, you are the entire ocean in a drop”. You're not alone. 

 

We are children of God no matter where we live or how we look. We are all equal in the eyes of God. We are one, but we are many. Let's lend a hand to build bridges and find common ground. Let's stand and be counted. Let’s spread peace and love instead of war and destruction. Let's choose kindness and understanding over violence. Let’s save humanity and our beautiful planet. Let’s leave a better legacy for our children and the next generations.

 

As the Chinese philosopher, Lao Tzu said, “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” You can take that step now.

Please sign and share this petition Calling for World Peace Today with your family, friends, social media circles, NGOs, peace-loving people, clubs, community leaders, men, and women, young and old. You deserve a better and safer world without conflict. 

Please call on the Head of State in your country, politicians, the UN, and the UN Security Council, to choose peace and help stop conflicts and destruction.
