Mrs. Leena Guttal’s teaching methods have severely impacted students’ mental health and academic performance. We urge the school to replace her to protect our well-being and education.

Problems:

Opaque Grading: Her unclear grading system leaves students unsure of their progress and fearing failure. Incidents occurred where she corrected few students grades even after grading period expired causing unfair advantage to other students

Racism and Bias: Favoritism towards students of her own race and selective grade adjustments are unfair.

Hostile Environment: Mrs. Guttal’s unapproachable attitude, tyrant style teaching methods and public insults discourage students from seeking help.Her methods are heavily dependent on fear and competition breeding unhealthy emotions 

Excessive Homework: Daily mandatory office hours and weekend sessions interfere with other activities and personal time.
Personal Outbursts: Frequent classroom outbursts create a disruptive learning environment.Her emotional outburst missing her husband and personal problem inundate the students

Unrealistic Expectations: Mrs. Guttal’s unrealistic teaching and out-of-syllabus questions cause unnecessary stress.
Solutions:

Teaching Standards: Evaluate and align Mrs. Guttal’s methods with student needs based on the High school standards. Evaluate the amount of work she is giving to the student. Create 360 degree anonymous feedback from Students.

Approachability: Encourage a supportive and respectful classroom atmosphere.

Syllabus Adherence: Ensure teaching content stays within the AP Calculus syllabus.

Reasonable Homework: Assign manageable homework that respects students’ time for other subjects and activities.

Fair Grading: Implement a transparent and equitable grading system for all students.
