Call on the BBC to take a stand for human rights and international justice by withdrawing the United Kingdom from the Eurovision Song Contest if Israel is confirmed to participate in the upcoming competition.

Eurovision is meant to be a celebration of music, unity, and cultural exchange. Allowing a country accused of serious violations of international law to compete undermines the spirit of the contest and sends a dangerous message that such actions can be overlooked on the world stage.

Other broadcasters have previously taken principled positions regarding Eurovision participation, and we urge the BBC to do the same. As the UK’s representative broadcaster, the BBC has a responsibility to reflect the values of fairness, justice, and accountability.

By refusing to participate alongside Israel, the BBC would demonstrate that the UK does not condone violations of human rights and international law.

We therefore petition the BBC to announce that the UK will not take part in Eurovision should Israel’s participation be confirmed.
