As a deeply concerned US citizen and California resident, I believe it is time to express our collective concern over the leadership of Gavin Newsom. We believe the time has come for him to step down as Governor of California due to perceived neglect of US citizens.

The handling of rising crime rates, incidents of homelessness, and mismanagement of state funds under Governor Newsom's leadership have been widely criticized. The Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC) reported in 2021 that about a third of Californians found poverty as the most critical issue facing the state – a problem exacerbated by the rising cost of living, and yet little concrete action has been taken to alleviate these issues under Newsom's administration.

The COVID-19 pandemic has further highlighted the shortcomings of Newsom's leadership, with much controversy surrounding the implementation and enforcement of pandemic safety measures, especially between different areas of the state. Many citizens feel neglected and unheard, adding to the widespread dissatisfaction that we are presently expressing.

We respectfully request the resignation of Governor Newsom to make room for a leader who will listen to, understand, and prioritize the needs of all Californians. The time for change is now. Sign the petition and let our voices be heard.
