We are a group of very concerned citizens from Canutillo, TX, USA who are tired of feeling ignored, overlooked, and even betrayed by the actions of Armando Rodriguez, a member of our Canutillo ISD School Board. The fact that Rodriguez has had multiple DWIs yet has never faced any repercussions is alarming. This shows a blatant disregard for the law, which is unacceptable for an individual in such a significant position of authority.  His lack of regard for authority showcases a systemic problem that can't be addressed unless he faces consequences for his actions.

His attorney is Sergio Coronado, previous CISD president and current County Commissioner.  He has helped Armando erase his first DWI in 2013 while serving on the board together and is currently trying to dismiss his most recent DWI. 

Citizens feel this is an abuse of power and a perfect example of nepotism.

Armando Rodriguez was arrested near Jose Damian Elementary School where he crashed after driving intoxicated.

In the United States, more than 10,000 people die annually due to drunk driving!

This is not a situation we should take lightly. As an officer of education, Armando Rodriguez should set a positive example for Canutillo's students, not be a driving contributor to such worrisome statistics.

Armando Rodriguez is not only a threat to our children's safety but he is setting a dangerous example for our community. As an elected official he is supposed to be held to a higher standard.

It's time for Armando Rodriguez to be held accountable for his actions and ask him to step down from his position on the Canutillo ISD School Board and TASB president.
