The Issue

I would like to share my personal experience with Metanoya Church in San Antonio. In 2011, I dated the pastor for about 3 to 5 months. It seemed like a genuine connection at the time, but it soon transpired into something far more damaging. The pastor manipulated several young women, including myself, under the guise of religious service, using lies to further his desires. This emotional manipulation culminated in an experience I never anticipated and left deep scars.

After our relationship ended in September of 2011. It was untill 2025 that I came back to attend and be part of their vision. Then they ended up closing its doors to me for 5 months because the pastor felt threatened by my presence. This exclusion and the emotional turmoil it caused led to my admittance to the San Antonio State Hospital for three months, requiring an arduous and painful recovery process. It took me nearly five years to stand on my feet again, overcome the emotional and psychological wounds inflicted upon me, and contribute positively to my community. By 2016, I was able to graduate with a business degree and reclaim my future.

However, the abuses at Metanoya Church did not end with my experience. Disturbing stories have emerged about young children being exposed to abusive situations within homes operated by the church, orchestrated by the pastor. Several women remain silent, their voices stifled by fear and manipulation. This culture of abuse, perpetuated under the cover of religious sanctity, must be stopped to protect vulnerable individuals and uphold ethical standards in spiritual leadership.

It is urgent that action be taken to remove the current leadership from Metanoya Church. An investigation into these matters is crucial to verify these claims, giving a voice to victims who have suffered in silence. By signing this petition, you are advocating for truth, justice, and the safety of all involved.

Please sign to demand the removal of the pastor from Metanoya Church or the removal of this Church and make San Antonio a safer place for everyone seeking spiritual guidance.
