As a passionate follower of the National Football League (NFL), I have noticed a recurring issue that is impacting the integrity and fairness of our beloved sport. This issue lies with one individual in particular - referee Duane Heydt.

Mr. Heydt's controversial decisions during games, most recently in the matchup between the Miami Dolphins vs Philadelphia Eagles, in which ten (10) penalties were called against the Miami Dolphins and zero (0) penalties called on the Philadelphia Eagles. Previously, Mr. Heydt's crew was suspended from the ACC championship game for unethical refereeing back in 2017. This has raised serious questions about his ability to officiate fairly and accurately. His calls often seem biased, leading to unfair advantages for certain teams, which undermines the spirit of competition that is integral to the NFL.

While referees are human and mistakes can be made, it appears Mr. Heydt's errors are not isolated incidents but rather a pattern that has been observed over time. This consistent lack of judgment not only impacts game outcomes but also tarnishes the reputation of our league.

The NFL prides itself on its integrity and commitment to fair play, values which are currently being compromised by Mr. Heydt's presence on the field.

We believe it is time for change; we call upon Roger Goodell, Commissioner of the NFL, to review Mr. Heydt's performance as an official referee and consider his removal from this position if found lacking in impartiality or competence.
