It started as a personal matter within the confines of my living room. Every day, my husband tunes into the TV show 'The View', and my discomfort grows. The reasons behind the unease are primarily centered around the show's lead, Whoopi Goldberg, and her followers. This petition is not against diversity of opinion; instead, it concerns the quality and effect of the discourse broadcasted.

'The View' started in 1997, intending to provide an influential platform for women's voices and ideas across different ages and backgrounds. The program's ideology is commendable, but over the years, the dialogues and discussions seem to have ventured far from their original aim. Whoopi Goldberg's conduct, among others, has been contentious to many, including myself. Accusations range from subtle bias to overbearing domination of conversations.

We're not asking for censorship of anyone's point of view, but for responsible and balanced television programming. There are countless other ways to invest our viewing time positively and more respectively. It is feasible to find a replacement program that values balanced conversation, free from unnecessary contention.

Therefore, we ask for the removal of 'The View' from television. In doing so, we aim to encourage more conscientious television programs that can lead to healthier discussions and debates.
