In light of the recent forced resignation of Brady Boyd, Senior Pastor of New Life Church in Colorado Springs, because of  the allegation that he had knowledge of Robert Morris’s abuse of a 12 year old girl before it became public, we urge the immediate resignation of church elders & leadership,  Lance Coles and Brian Newberg for their simultaneous knowledge of this abuse by Robert Morris. Despite being informed of Morris’ abuse of a 12-year-old girl, Coles and Newberg, as leaders and elders, allowed him to serve as an overseer, thereby failing in their duty to protect the congregation and uphold moral integrity.

This situation has deeply shaken our trust and confidence in the elder's at the church. 
The church’s continued support of Coles and Newberg while making Boyd the scapegoat. This is beyond inappropriate behavior for the leadership of the church. If the elders believe that Brady knew this information, they cannot continue to turn a blind eye to the fact that Coles and Newberg also knew.  Their actions contrast the church's decision to let go of Senior Pastor Brady Boyd for allegedly providing false information related to the same issue. Accountability should be consistent, and it is imperative that all leadership members are held to the same standards of truth and responsibility.

Coles and Newberg's failure to act accordingly erodes trust and sets a dangerous precedent. We must demand transparency and accountability from those in positions of power within our faith community.

New Life Church needs leaders who exemplify honesty, responsibility, and a genuine commitment to the faith and welfare of their members. We call on the congregation to immediate demand action to ensure that the church’s leadership reflects these values.
