As a long-time fan conjointly worrying about the personal health and the well-being of my peers, it's disconcerting that since Patrick James Riley obtained major ownership of the Miami Heat in 1995, the performance swings of the team have become increasingly erratic. While Riley’s tenure saw the Heat achieve 3 championships, 7 conference titles, and 16 division titles, the acquisition of star player Jimmy Butler in the 2019-2020 season has seen a decline in strategic moves, adversely affecting team performance and morale.

Moreover, the lackluster handling of recent seasons has led to a decrease in supporters' satisfaction and has even compromised our emotional health due to the constant disappointment and anxiety over the team's performance. It's our belief that it's time for the Miami Heat to seek new leadership. A vibrant, dynamic vision could restore morale, win scores, and rejuvenate our team spirit.

We, the signatories of this petition, therefore ask that Patrick James Riley steps down from his leadership role of the Miami Heat. We believe that change is integral to the continuous growth of our beloved team and it’s now time for a new era of Miami Heat Basketball.
