The Issue

Mount Thomas homeowners are facing significant challenges under the current Board of Directors at The Association. The management decisions have raised considerable concern among us, the community members, particularly around both leadership failures and financial burdens. Immediate action is needed to address these issues.

Firstly, we propose a vote to remove the current Board of Directors seamlessly. The existing leadership has shown a lack of transparency and efficacy in decision-making, negatively impacting the homeowners. Electing a new Board will ensure accountability, transparency, and responsiveness to the needs and voices of all members.

Next, we urge the suspension of the recently announced Special Assessment. Given the unclear justifications and planning, this assessment imposes unnecessary financial strain on homeowners. Moreover, we advocate for waiving any associated late fees until a new Board has adequately reviewed the planned improvements. Alternatives for funding should be considered to avoid placing undue burdens on community members.

An emergency meeting called by [Redacted], President of The Association, is necessary to undertake these measures. It will allow for an organized, democratic process that reflects the community's true desires and addresses our concerns head-on, while also giving Board Members an opportunity to defend their actions.  If a Motion for their removal passes, all will be eligible to serve on the new Board.

Join us in this urgent appeal for fair governance and financial responsibility within The Association by signing this petition.
