Call for Cllr Sue Eacock to resign all positions, following her online behaviour

The Issue

Call for Cllr Susan Eacock, to resign her positions on both borough and county councils.

Her online behaviour demonstrates she is a person who does not consider all members of the community as being equal.

She should not be in any position involving care and safe treatment of vulnerable people. She is not a good reflection of town or borough, and could bring harm to our reputation and businesses.

The people of Redditch and Worcestershire have the right to feel safe from those in government, not to feel that the government is working against them, promoting division.

Although these posts were largely made prior to her election, they show a long held, well established belief and topics covering a broad range of negativity towards a number of protected characteristics that would be a sackable offence in any workplace under the Equalities Act.

Whilst her Freedom of Speech is also covered under the same Act, the volume and frequency of the posts could be considered to push her over the threshold into malicious communication.

What we are asking for:

Cllr Sue Eacock to resign as a councillor, for both Redditch and Worcestershire.

A clear public acknowledgement that this behaviour is unacceptable.

Confirmation from the council that the people of Redditch and Worcestershire are safe, and such divisive comments are unwelcome in our town and county.

Appropriate action through the council’s standards process, including a meeting with the petition maker,  to regain public trust.

Call to action

If you believe residents deserve respectful leadership and higher standards in public office, please sign and share this petition.

S WPetition StarterI am a Redditch resident who is fed up of seeing hate online. This is not a political message, I am non-partisan. I just want the best for those in Worcestershire, and for people to stop being so unkind.
