Call for an Independent Investigation into Buckinghamshire Coroner's Decisions

The Issue

My husband went to Stoke Mandeville hospital for a routine scan. Rather than treat him he was subjected to a series of negligence, the administration of drugs that if used together can and did cause his death and he died being restrained by a security guards. He was 59.

This whole scandal was caught clearly on CCTV and by bodycam. Despite the indisputable evidence, the Buckinghamshire Coroner concluded my husband's death was due to natural causes and refused to order an inquest. Deaths under restraint are almost automatically dealt with by inquest. But not for my husband.

It clearly wasn’t a natural death.

the coroner lied about my husband’s treatment and never viewed the footage before making his decision.

According to the Office for National Statistics, in 90% of healthcare-related deaths in the UK, an inquest is conducted. Yet, in the face of clear malpractice, why was my husband's case disregarded?

We are thus calling for a fair and independent investigation into the decisions made by the Buckinghamshire Coroner Crispin Giles Butler.

We demand that the coroner's office abide by transparency and the principles of truth and justice. We believe that such an investigation may lay a foundation for future reforms in the coroner's office and prevent other families from experiencing the agonizing misunderstanding and wrongful classification of cause of death.

By signing this petition, you will be joining us in our hope and quest for truth and justice. You will be sending a powerful message that all healthcare-related deaths deserve a fair and impartial examination—regardless of the power dynamics at play. Please sign this petition and support our fight to investigate the decision-making and verify the authenticity of verdicts of the Buckinghamshire Coroner.
