The residents of the Tailholt community have long faced ongoing issues with water availability and transparency from our Metro District. It's become a persistent reality that we are being charged exorbitant fees for water services that are not effectively delivered. Many of us have observed periods where water is completely unavailable, causing irrigation to suffer and rendering maintenance services unnecessary because there's simply no water to maintain.

We're forced to question the integrity of the fee collection processes, as it seems there might be overcharging without appropriate compensation for services that are, in reality, inaccessible. This lack of transparency is unacceptable, and the community deserves honest communication and a clear breakdown of where our funds are being allocated.

With the new water management plans on the horizon, I believe it’s crucial for Tailholt residents to actively engage with the Metro District. We must ensure that our voices are heard and that decisions are made in the interests of those who are directly affected - us, the residents.

Therefore, we are calling for a formal meeting with the Tailholt Metro District ahead of October 22, 2026, to discuss these pressing issues. This meeting should focus on transparency regarding water supply, fee collection, and plans to ensure that water services are reliable and equitable for all residents.
