The Issue

As a student in the Toronto District School Board, I am concerned about the proposed curriculum changes and their impact on students daily lives, mental health, and overall well-being. Students, parents, and educators must be informed and involved in decisions shaping our education.

I call for a reassessment through input from students, families, and educators. A review group should evaluate the policies and suggest amendments that prioritize well-being and educational quality. The Ontario Ministry of Education should also hold forums and surveys to gather broader feedback.

Dive deeper...

The proposed curriculum changes have been met with significant backlash from the community, with many believing that they fail to address key issues such as diverse educational needs and mental health support. The adjustments seem to overlook the importance of providing a balanced and inclusive learning experience that caters to all students. By introducing drastic changes without proper consultation and consideration, the TDSB risks compromising our educational quality, the success, and the mental health of many students.

Going into the upcoming years, hearing out the compromised students, parents, and educators should be prioritized. This task force should review the proposed policies and suggest amendments that prioritize student well-being and educational quality.

By signing this petition, you will be advocating for a more inclusive and thoughtful approach to our education system. Together, we can ensure that every student receives the support they need to excel both academically and mentally. Please sign this petition to voice your opposition to the current curriculum changes and to call for a fair review process that prioritizes the needs of students and educators alike. Let's stand together for a balanced and student-friendly education system.
