CALL FOR ACTION FOR ROAD SAFETY AT JALAN PERSIARAN ALAM PERDANA – FT1210 TO ALAM PERDANA

The Issue

It is estimated that total number of Alam Perdana residents (LBS Irama Perdana + LBS Irama Perdana, Taman Alam Perdana and Worldwide Halya) is 8,400 in January 2023. With most amenities such as school, shops, offices, mosque, etc. are outside of Alam Perdana area, it is to no-brainer that about 8,400 people commute out of Alam Perdana daily, using nearly 4,000 vehicles. To add, other than the residents’ vehicles, large trucks carrying sand and whatnot for development of more houses and commercial buildings also passes through Alam Perdana – and these, plus near 4,000 vehicles have no other way out toward Bandar Puncak Alam/Klang/Shah Alam other than the infamous Jalan Persiaran Alam Perdana – FT 1210.

A letter from Jabatan Kerja Raya Kuala Selangor dated 9 January 2023 has clearly stated that an approval letter to improve the condition of the road was released to Kemudi Ehsan Sdn. Bhd. (aka LBS) on 16 December 2020. Up until today, there has been no changes to the road safety condition – except that it is worsening.

We, residents of LBS Alam Perdana, urge the developer of this area, Kemudi Ehsan Sdn. Bhd. (aka LBS), to immediately rectify the road condition and improve the safety of Jalan Persiaran Alam Perdana – FT1210. We are not tolerating anymore with any excuses as lives may no be sparred when vehicles, especially large container and sand trucks, are not known to slow down along the road of Jalan Bukit Cerakah.

We urge Kemudi Ehsan Sdn. Bhd. (LBS) to immediately put into place a traffic light / road bump / police traffic to ensure the safety of near 10,000 people coming in and out of Alam Perdana.

After all, Datuk Wira Joey Lim Hock Guan (LBS Group MD & CEO), during an award ceremony in September 2022 which saw LBS to be recognized as one of Malaysia's Best Managed Companies, did say:

"Sebagai Pemaju Perumahan Rakyat, matlamat kami adalah untuk sentiasa mengutamakan orang ramai. Kami ingin menyediakan perumahan kepada seluruh rakyat Malaysia di samping memberi nilai kepada komuniti."

In red circle, Jalan Persiaran Alam Perdana – FT1210. It is the only way out if one wants to go to the left side of this picture. The other end (with question mark), is a dead end.

Note:

·       Estimated residents of Simfoni Perdana, 860 units: ~3,500

·       Estimated residents of Irama Perdana, 673 units: ~2,700

·       Estimated residents of Taman Alam Perdana, ~300 units: ~1,200
